This is our friend, Sharon, who passed away in February. Sharon was one of the best customers Osmia has ever had. Her first order was in 2013, and she ordered 8-9 times a year with us. She emailed often to tell us how our products had helped her daughter's dermatitis, or improved her husband's eczema, or about her other daughter's obsession with Zucca Spice Soap (stay tuned this fall, Lauren!). She was proud when she converted her son-in-law and introduced her new grandson to Osmia. She was game to try any and all of our Craft Series creations, diving into the experience of each new scent and letting it take her on a sensory journey. If an order got lost or delayed, she would email us with the nicest tone, asking gently if we could keep an eye on it. Everyone on the team knew Sharon, and we all looked forward to any and all interactions with her. I even got to meet her over Zoom last year, when we hosted a virtual happy hour for some of our best customers. She was smart and funny—my very favorite kind of woman. Learning that Sharon was gone took my breath away, and I still haven't quite accepted it. My team is still in shock, and my husband got teary-eyed when I told him the news. I hope that when I leave this world, I will leave a hole as big as the one Sharon left. To be so cherished by a random group of people at a small skincare brand many miles from her home says EVERYTHING about how deeply loved she must be by her family and friends. Sharon, thank you for your years of amazing support and enthusiasm. We will never forget the intelligent, kind, thoughtful way you moved through this world. And Kristen and Lauren, we send you our whole hearts as you step into life without your wonderful mama. #returntoyoursenses
