Two weeks ago, this kid had her nose broken when she lost the ball in the afternoon sun. One week ago, she had surgery to repair multiple fractures. Yesterday, she had her splints removed. And today she was ready to play. The worried mama in me wanted to say no. But the lifelong female athlete in me said: Hell, yes kid.
