A photobiologist and pioneer in light research, Dr. Ott discovered through 40 years of scientific research the remarkable effects specific wavelengths of light have on all living things.
Rumor has it that in the 1970s, Dr. Ott told a Cincinnati Reds’ scout that the green underside of the visor in most baseball caps could hamper player’s performance. He recommended a switch to gray. The same year the Reds went on to win the National League pennant!
