During my ottlite_official unboxing video, I promised an update once I had a chance to use the light for a few days. I love this light, and here are a few of the reasons why:
✨Lightweight: this makes the light very portable.
✨Sturdy: I don’t worry about it being knocked over in my workspace as I am shuffling things around as it has a very stable base.
✨Small Footprint: Makes it very easy to fit the light wherever my workspace may be for the day. With 3 kids schooling and 2 adults working from home some days, I am not always able to work in my studio, but wherever I am, I can find a spot for the light.
✨Perfect Light Source: This is twofold for me! First, as mentioned above, if I end up being pushed out of my space for the day, I am no longer limited in where I can work based on the amount of natural light because this little light offers an incredible amount of crisp light. Second, a traumatic brain injury in 2012 left me permanently sensitive to light and prone to headaches and migraine. Even though this light is bright, I haven’t experienced any eye strain or fatigue from using it. This is a huge plus for me!!
✨Sanitizing: When I first got the light, I was pretty indifferent about the sanitizing feature, but I am now shifting this feature to the “Pro” column. The thing that really made a difference for me has been using it while I work on my new Featherweight. Over time, the cases these machines are stored in start to stink as the horse glue that was used to assemble these cases are prone to bacteria - the smell pretty much permeates *anything*, even the machine. I am loving that I can expose the cords, wires, plastic, and body of the machine to the sanitizing light while I work. One thing I can’t do is wipe the body of the machine with any sort of disinfecting wipe as I don’t want to risk ruining her paint, so OttLite sanitizing light it is!
✨Charging: I *love* this feature! I am going to be watching featherweight videos all day while I work on this, and I’ll have no problem with battery life this way.
