At Parade, we’re inspired by self-expression across medium, identity, and occupation. This week, we’re highlighting and celebrating sex workers’ underwear stories. We support the decriminalization of sex work and see that this labor touches the lines of identity, sexuality, and self-expression. The safety of these groups of people is constantly at risk—through violence from clients, strangers, and targeted police brutality. In order to maximize legal protection and access to health care for sex workers, we must both educate ourselves and listen to sex workers in order to contribute to safer spaces physically and digitally. As part of this initiative, we’re donating to @lysistratamccf, an emergency relief fund that provides financial assistance to marginalized members of the sex work community.
