SPACE: NASA are preparing to send the first ever 3D printer into space, in the hope that it could begin "in-space manufacturing" at the International Space Station. If proven to work successfully among the zero gravity conditions, NASA predicted that the 3D printer could make a difference to long-term missions to locations such as Mars, or even for creating tools that would usually take a long periods of time to travel to the International Space Station from Earth.
