femme forte is a sustainable and ethical fashion brand Launched by Zoë Schulz and fuelled by a frustration with the fast fashion industry for their continued disregard for the environment and lack of inclusivity.
At first, the brand hoped to raise money to help create a London LGBTQ+ Community Centre, a project close to Zoë’s heart, and offer a sustainable, slow fashion option.
Since then they have grown, but community remains central to what they do. Raising money for trans youth (Mermaids), period poverty (Bloody Good Period) and LGBTQIAS2+ homeless youth (akt).
Everything femme forte creates is vegan and gender neutral. All their designs use vegan inks that are free from toxic chemicals and the clothing is made ethically, by people who are treated well and paid fairly.
femme forte is here to uplift and celebrate their community. They value learning together and want to be one corner of the fashion industry where inclusivity and sustainability are not buzzwords, but engrained in everything they do.
