"I am one of the least likely people to start a brand like Pepper. I still have a hard time talking about some of the sexier subjects, discussing toys, speaking on connection—the list goes on. But this is EXACTLY why we created Pepper—so that we could do better by our kids. I was raised in a generation that didn’t discuss anything about sex or intimacy. Shame and stigma were introduced along the way and like a loyal friend, followed me from childhood, through the teenage years, and eventually into adulthood. I know that many of you can relate. I did not want this same experience for our children. Ultimately, Pepper’s mission is to create a safe place for exploration, education, and to bring a sense of playfulness into a heavy subject. We want our children to feel comfortable sharing real information and having vulnerable conversations. This is all a part of the human experience—the more that this is normalized, the better we will all be. Gone are the days of shying away from these conversations. When you know better, you do better. Pepper is for all of us." -Sarah Spoor, co-founder . . . #meetthefounders #entrepreneurshiplife #entrepreneurshipmindset #familybusiness #relationshiptalk #relationshipquotes
