22 years ago we walked down the aisle with a dream - a dream for children, to live in the west, to grow our little food company. Little did we know what the years would entail and the adventures that would unfold.
We did have four kids, and two miscarriages. We did live in the west - our favorite home a triple-wide trailer. Our food company grew - and it shrunk.
Four years ago we started working on a new project, @peppertogether. It was a company designed to help people have a better connection with their partner or with themselves. It was never about sex or toys, it was about creating better relationships, having deeper and more intimate conversations, encouraging people to be more playful in their relationships.
I am proud of what we have accomplished - with everything. Nothing good comes easily. We have been in the trenches working so hard on what is important to us - our kids, our community and our work.
Lincoln and I are just like every other couple - some days are good, some are more difficult. Some years we have thrived, others we haven’t. Nothing is perfect or ever will be. I suppose that is the beautiful thing about life and the human experience. Our hope is that each day we are learning how to grow better, together.
