We gave away 400 cups to be distributed to the rural female leaders and teachers in Northern Tanzania. The response has been outstanding and they are asking for more Pixie Cups! As the teachers and leaders get used to using a cup themselves, we’ll be giving them more cups, so they can begin educating the girls in their community on cup use and menstrual hygiene.
While Amber was visiting one school in Tanzania yesterday, she was only able to find one girl who was still attending school after getting her period. She was 15.
