Here at Pixie, we are passionate about getting out and adventuring, even if it is in your own backyard. Bonus points -it's also one of best things you could be doing right now for your health! Vitamin D from sunshine strengthens our immune system, and a new study published in the International Journal of Environmental Health Research found that spending just 20 minutes in nature — even if you aren't exercising, is enough to improve mental well-being!
Here are a few ideas to get you up and outdoors!

Become a Birdist
You might be surprised to learn that several Pixie team members are absolutely crazy about birdwatching. This is an ideal time to take up the hobby! We love the tips from @audobonsociety on creating a bird-friendly space in your backyard. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nature Journaling
Keeping a nature journal can train your mind to see the beauty of the world all around us through a lens of curiosity and wonder. As @johnmuirlaws puts it, "The goal of nature journaling is not to create a portfolio of pretty pictures but to develop a tool to help you see, wonder, and remember your experiences." There's literally never been a better time to start.

Letterboxing
Geocaching’s little cousin. GPS isn’t needed, just the list of hints and clues to lead you to the treasure! Here’s how it works: Someone hides a box, maybe under a log in the forest or tucked into a crack in an old stone wall. Inside the box, the hider places a rubber stamp and a notebook. Use your notebook like a passport and collect stamps wherever you go. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All-Out-Yoga
Are you an avid yogi? With the arrival of spring, try doing yoga in the park or on the beach. Nothing better than grounding yourself by touching the earth under the sun!

Start a garden
Start small. Check out container gardening. Get herbs at your local nursery and cluster them on your kitchen window sill! Get your hands in the dirt, water your plants, watch them grow. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What's getting you outdoors these days?
