When we look back on the spring of 2020, Covid-19 will definitely eclipse all else in our history books. But the people of Nashville, and much of West and Middle TN will never forget the storms and tornadoes that ripped through their night that first week of March. Over 300 people were injured and more than 25 lost their lives. They will remember the generosity of thousands of volunteers who donated time and resources from around the world. They will also remember how they banded together as a community to love and empower each other to rebuild, stronger than ever.
The Community Resource Center is on the front lines. Serving more than 100 nonprofit agencies, providing at-risk children, disadvantaged seniors, victims of domestic violence, the homeless, those battling addiction, those with mental and physical challenges, and refugees resettling in TN, who are in desperate need with new household goods, bedding, kitchenware, cleaning supplies, clothing and personal hygiene items.
Pixie Cup was honored to be able to donate 10,000 menstrual cups to the Community Resource Center, for distribution among the victims of the storms, tornados and COVID-19 supply shortages across Tennessee. Thank you, Pixie Squad, from the bottom of our hearts for making this possible. Stay strong, Tennessee.
