No shame in my mom game đđ

@mrslizlombardđ"Doesnât it feel sometimes like you are constantly making the âwrongâ decision? Like what youâre doing isnât ever âgood enough?â I have felt criticized by other moms for pumping, using a bottle, a pacifier, formula, for sleep training! I have been criticized for posting my postpartum pictures and wearing my belly wraps because then I am âvainâ and âcare too much what people think.â But little do these people know that yes I DO my makeup 3 or 4 times a week, but itâs usually while I am pumping and I usually have my toddler sitting in the chair with me, climbing on me and putting pretend makeup on his face too. I wear my belly wraps YES to shrink my stomach, but also to help my ab separation and my SPD.
.
Taking time to âlook goodâ and taking care of myself helps me start my day and feel better about myself, like I am HUMAN again. Motherhood can take away that sane piece of us, and leave us unsure of who we are anymore. The crazy part is, it happens overnight! One day you are pregnant...yes huge and uncomfortable, but you are still able to pee by yourself, drink your coffee while itâs still hot, you donât have to triple check when leaving the house if you are covered in puke! You know, those little things you took for granted because you never knew they were a luxury đ .
.
My point: As long as youâre doing whatâs best for you, your children and your family, youâre making the right choices. Donât let what others say and do dictate the house you run and the children you take care of. Lions donât lose sleep over the opinions of sheep!
