Hey šš¼ Julie from @ourfitfamilylife again! š¤Did you know that your rectus abdominis stretches 15 cm (6 in) during pregnancy? ā ļø If you strengthen your rectus abdominis (6-pack muscle) during pregnancy you are actually shorteningĀ a muscle that needs toĀ stretch and lengthenĀ to let your uterus and baby grow.Ā Thatās the last thing you want...Ā if the muscles canāt lengthen (to accommodate your growing baby), they will be forced to widen, opening your abs like a zipper along your mid-line! š¤°š¼During the 3rd trimester of my last pregnancy my body felt heavy and my core super weak. I was a personal trainer and a PE teacher, so standing and moving wasn't avoidable. I used the ā2 in 1 banditā band during the day, it helped so much to relieve back pain and low belly tension all day long.
ā¤ļøIāve planned a Live session in an hour to talk about this one because I still use it today (Iām almost 18 months postpartum). .
I also used the Upsie Belly (pictured here) and loved it! I only post about products I love and I kept bragging about this one. Itās made from bamboo and is super comfy. At the end of the day, the hot gel pack was a luxury for my sore back... š
I loved it post-delivery too!
Talk to you soon!
