It’s that time of year again. My inbox is filling up with Black Friday sales and presales. To be honest I have been deleting every single one. I am all about taking advantage of a good sale for something I need and use, or something I have mindfully made a responsible decision to purchase; but this time of year as a society we tend to get carried away with material goods and fall victim to some catchy marketing making us believe 30% off means we NEED it. This past year I have been making more of an effort to make small changes that have a large impact on our environment AND my mental health. I have become a lot more mindful about what I am choosing to buy and consume. Purging our home and getting rid of 75% of our belongings felt so good. And 6 months later I haven’t missed one thing I donated or sold. Less is so much more and in turn so much better for our planet. For 2020, my goals are to continue to purchase more sustainably made, eco friendly clothing and products, get better about bringing my reusable water bottle/matcha mug with me, and be better about composting my food scraps. What changes have you made or do you want to make to support our environment? This set is from organicbasics and is made from all organic, recycled materials with a continued focus on ethical production.
