Since starting pvolve (coming up on my 1 year anniversary soon 🤩) I feel stronger, healthier both mentally and physically, and more empowered than from any other workout method I’ve tried before. For me, fitness is about celebrating my body not breaking or putting it down. It is my time to tune in with myself, my body, mind and spirit. A move as seemingly simple as this one (long leg lift) requires core support, upper body stability as well as mind to muscle connection to make this a full body movement. You can’t just go through the motions in a P.volve workout (same could be said about life, right?) Every move should done with intention. For example, I am constantly explaining in class what muscles are you engaging, what you should feel, how you can make a move more challenging just by shifting your focus to a different muscle group, how this move translate to your daily life wellness, etc. This intentional mindset while working out has become my mantra for this year: be intentional. I hope to carry that with me into the new year. What are you planning to take with you into the new year?
