Have you heard of internal resistance?
If not, think of it like this — if external resistance refers to weight from equipment like an ankle band or hand weight, internal resistance is generating tension from within your own body, no equipment required. You can trigger this by focusing on the muscle group at work, intentionally squeezing and activating that part of the body, or even by imagining that the weight you're working with is heavier than it actually is. For example, many of you can feel the difference in your p.sits when you're mindlessly moving through the move vs. when you're paying attention to activating and squeezing your glutes. The difference lies in turning on that internal resistance.
That’s the great thing about P.volve: you’ll be strengthening your mind as much as you’ll be strengthening your body.
