Do you find yourself using flexibility and mobility interchangeably? While they provide some of the same benefits, they are not one in the same.
Just remember: flexibility is typically used in reference to your muscles, whereas mobility is often used in reference to your joints’ ability to move through a given range of motion (though, mobility can apply to other aspects of movement too!)
Those oh-so good moments when you’re slowing it down and taking the time to stretch out your muscles in a Recover & Stretch class? That’s you working on your flexibility.
Working your joints through all ranges of motion in a Strength & Sculpt flow? That’s you working on mobility.
Improving both of these through daily movement will help you live with greater ease everyday (hello functional movement!), prevent injuries, and take your workouts up a notch thanks to larger ranges motion.
