Going somewhere? If you have travel plans for the long weekend, take note of @chloe.corpuz’s top 6 tips for maintaining your wellness routine on the go. 1. Hydrate: When I’m at home I usually drink a gallon a day, but that’s not always as realistic on vacation. I always buy a bottle of water at the airport so I can have it on the plane. I also try to drink as much water as possible as soon as I wake up and continue drinking it throughout the day so I can safely enjoy other beverages without feeling dehydrated. I recommend putting electrolyte packets in your water for an added hydration boost. 2. Massage: My neck, shoulders and face tend to get tight and/or puffy, especially while traveling. A self-massage can help with lymphatic drainage and circulation. Some of my favorite tools to travel with are my massage gun and my face roller. You can also use the P.volve massage balls or your hands! 3. Move: I try to move my body every day, even if it’s just a quick 15-30 minute workout and/or a 10-15 min stretch. After traveling on a plane, it’s even more important for me to stretch, especially my hips and lower back. The P.volve On Demand Recover & Stretch videos are perfect for this because there is so much variety and something for every need. Bonus points if I can get my movement in by the beach or with friends. 4. Meditate: Meditating helps me start off my day grounded into the present moment. Sometimes there is so much happening while traveling that it can be hard for me to focus and and take it all in. I usually set a timer and meditate between 5-15 minutes each morning. 5. Eat a good breakfast: A good breakfast helps kickstart my day and sustain my energy though the morning. At home, I usually try to start the day with a green smoothie, an omelette and avocado toast, so I try to replicate that as much as possible while traveling. 6. Enjoy yourself! Breathe, take in your surroundings, engage with the people around you and be grateful that you worked hard enough to be able to take this time for yourself to enjoy life!
