Despite the chaos, I absolutely loved being a Dad and how there was a less selfish purpose to my work leading to much greater focus and a more professional attitude to training and racing. I had also made the significant change to be coached by Matt Dixon, who amongst many things gave me the confidence to drop my run mileage a lot in order to allow my swimming to improve and my cycling to become often my most dominant discipline. In the next four years (on the triathlon front) my ultimate goal is steady improvement.
