We hear your pain š¤ We acknowledge that we have not yet discussed this with you, our community, as we wanted to take some time to learn and reflect.
This is not an easy time for any of us. Watching what is happening in America is heartbreaking. We need to use this as an opportunity to also look at what has been happening here in Australia.
As we are an Australian based company, we would like to use our voice to not only advocate for the Black Lives Matter movement, but to also shine a light on our local Indigenous community and the hardship they have faced locally. More than 400 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander deaths in custody have occured since the 1991 royal commission.
And so you ask, what can we all do to help?
Give a voice to those that donāt have one. Spend your time in reading about our own social injustices here, locally.
Abrand pays our respects to the traditional owners of the lands on which we live & work.
