🌜 The Dreamtime 🌜
Each culture has a creation story that seeks to explain how life on Earth came to be.
In Aboriginal culture, The Dreamtime is the very beginning of time and the point of origin for all life. It is believed that Spirits created the land, with all its rivers, streams, hills, rocks, plants and animals. They also created the people that inhabit it, offered them tools and divided the land between tribes.
Dreamtime is a foundation of Aboriginal religion and culture, dating back some 65,000 years. This knowledge is passed down through generations, through stories, songs, dances, and ceremonies – detailing their worldview in how the Spirits created all life.
