Thank you for all the love on our last post. Our time away would not have been possible without my amazing mother-in-law. I seriously feel like I won the lottery with her!
You know the easiest part about leaving our kids behind? Knowing that someone is being so intentional with them and that we won’t have to worry about them for a second. It’s the number one reason we were really able enjoy our time together.
It did take like 10 hours of deep breaths while reminding myself that NO ONE needed me before I could fully relax. (It’s okay, Tiffany - breathe!) Anyone else do that when you finally get a moment away, or am I the only one who takes a bit to realize I can take it easy?
How hard it was to relax, even when I knew everything was taken care of, tells me that we need to get away more. Plus, it was so good for our marriage! So naturally, I’m beyond happy my MIL has agreed to watch the kids AGAIN for us for our 6th wedding anniversary this October, but this time we are getting 5 days away! ?
If you had 5 nights away with just your spouse, where would you go and why? We are open to other counties as long as they don’t involve a long flight, only because we want to utilize our time together as best we can.
Help a sista out!
