It’s easy to feel inadequate when the world is constantly telling you that you aren’t good enough. .
In my experience, I’ve never felt further away from God and the hope of his light than when I listen to those inaccurate and crushing voices. God isn’t a part of those voices. His is one of uplifting joy and progression.
.
And friends—there’s a definite difference between hating and beating on yourself and recognizing flaws and growing through them.
.
If we weren’t aware of our weaknesses, we would either be lying to ourselves or just not human. We would have no reason to improve and repent. So I believe that our weaknesses and shortcomings are blessings. They humble us and teach us things we wouldn’t understand without them. In growing in our lives, we should “acknowledge and face our weaknesses, but NOT be immobilized by them”.
.
You fall short.
But YOU ARE ENOUGH.
.
There is joy when we grow WITH Christ. When we see in ourselves what he sees. .
So do me a favor— find something today that you want to work on, AND MAKE A PLAN to grow in your weaknesses and create new strengths. Find that joy. You can do anything through Christ. He believes in you. It’s time you you to start believing too.
