Wishing I could bottle him up and keep him small forever. It goes so much faster the second time around. I can’t imagine how fast time flies the third time around. Or forth or fifth. I know I constantly preach about living in the moment and soaking up the little things buts that’s because they really don’t last long. I blinked and his little newborn self is now half my size. I blinked and his tiny booties no longer fit his not so tiny feet. I blinked and he no longer wants to sleep on my chest. I blinked and he started sleeping through the night and I lost our precious one on one time feeding him in the earliest of mornings. I blinked and he learned how to say “no mom.” I blinked and he turned one. I blinked and he wants to do everything for himself. I think we often take things for granted because we do them everyday but almost don’t notice how much we miss those things until they’re gone. Which is why I’m so persistent about enjoying every little thing (even when it’s so mundane we forget to cherish them) because you blink and those things are gone. So basically don’t blink?
