Today is supposed to be my first day at the new hospital in Utah.

Thursday, 3 days after arriving here, I received a phone call from my agency, telling me that my contract is canceled because the hospital I was scheduled to work at no longer needs me.

This sounds really weird, but this wave of relief came over Collin and I when we realized that I wasn’t going to the hospital on Monday. The agency was able to recoup part of my pay and Collin’s business has been doing well, so we are taking a leap of faith. Rather than jumping on a new contract, we are going to take this fall and focus on the things in front of us. Collin and I are doubling down on his production services to fill in the gap and I started my own business this year that is growing in ways I couldn’t have imagined. We’re still working as hard as ever, but the ways that God has provided for us to make a living have stretched us out of our comfort zone, filled us with excitement and allowed us to step into a season of life that we’ve been praying for. Here’s to a new season of trusting God and seeing all that He has in store for us here in Salt Lake City!
