I’ve had such a heavy pit in my stomach since the news about Kobe and his daughter broke yesterday. I’m sure everyone feels the same way, even if you weren’t a huge fan (I never have been, nothing bad, just never gave him a ton of thought) and imagining the pain his family is in. It’s made me feel so sad.
The Bible says that life is like a vapor, here one day and gone the next. I’m sure a lot of people battle with the question of what happens after death. I grew up KNOWING what happens after death and when I wasn’t living right with God, it plagued me. Every drive...I was terrified I would get in a wreck and not make Heaven my home...I was always aware that any moment could be my last moment! You would THINK I would’ve just quit my sin at that point! But it took me a long time to finally say, “Okay God, I’m going to say goodbye to my sinful, miserable life, and accept you back into my heart!” I was miserable too. Me and Jake fought constantly, we weren’t in love, but in lust...it was everything I didn’t want to raise a family in. And asking Christ into our hearts was THE BEST thing we’ve ever done.
If you’re plagued about life after death, and you’re not living for God...I encourage you to say a simple prayer asking Him into your heart. You don’t have to be in a church, or do an ornate ceremony...you can do it in your car, or while you’re sitting on the pot.🤣 That’s what’s amazing about God...he comes to us...he stands at the door of our heart and knocks..just wanting to be let in. He loves you. More than you love anyone on this Earth....he loves you more than the greatest love you’ve ever felt.❤️
