Last night Eden woke up from a dead sleep crying for Mickey. She has a very specific nighttime routine that includes gathering roughly a dozen stuffed animals, her favorite blankets, and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang. We couldn’t find Mickey at bedtime and hoped she wouldn’t notice. But sure enough at 1:00 this morning, she noticed. We looked everywhere! We tore drawers and toy bins apart and couldn’t find him anywhere, and it only seemed to make Eden more upset. I rolled my eyes and said a prayer “Heavenly Father, sorry. I know what today is, and I know this is kind of dumb, but can you help us find that dang toy?”. Good news, we found him in a kitchen cabinet and Eden went right to sleep. This morning I woke up thinking about Easter and our interrupted night. The Atonement covers the things that are important to each of us, whether or not they seem to matter to anyone else. Next to her family, that little Mickey Mouse figurine is probably the thing Eden cares most about right now. And even though it doesn’t have any eternal significance, Heavenly Father knows it’s important to Eden and that she loves it. So He helped us find it. This won’t go down as the Mickey Mouse parable or anything, I’m just grateful that because Christ rose from the grave, the big and the little stuff gets covered. And the things that matter to us matter to Him. Happy Easter, Friends!🌿 #hearhim #happyeaster #yesroolee
