•I was reminded as I read an article recently how important it is to truly live in the moment and to make the most of each day.. this all sounds cliché but it hit home because it’s so easy slip into the mode of living for the weekend, or the next thing, or just waiting for the work week to end or just waiting to pay off that credit card, or waiting to buy a house— when in reality this daily grind that has always felt like an in between is truly my life. and it’s truly my choice to make it beautiful or not.
•the article by 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 reminded me that “if you just “survive” the workweek constantly waiting for the next weekend “to get here,” you are wasting 71% of your life (5/7 days.)”
•I truly enjoy my day job, and working from home is a dream come true.. so it’s about taking a deep breath and allowing myself to enjoy the little things like sunshine streaming through the windows, finding beauty in His word and in each day that He gives us 🌾
•another point the article made was about dreaming big. “set goals and plans for the future. but working hard today is always the first step towards realizing your dreams tomorrow. 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭” this is one of the things I have to continue to remind myself. as I work all hours of the day and night with hope of achieving certain goals in the future I can’t let my actual present life slip through the cracks 🌱
•that was a lot and I’m sure most won’t read to the bottom and that’s perfectly okay. to those that did: here’s a little reminder: “soak in as much of today as you possibly can – the sights, the sounds, the smells, the emotions, the triumph, and the sorrow. these are in our daily lives but we often forget to take them in and truly appreciate them” ✨
•happy tuesday friends, we’re not that close to the weekend yet— but that’s okay 👌🏼 it’s a beautiful day to be alive 🧡
