Back to school looks a lot different this year! {Sponsored x YouTube Kids.}⠀  ⠀ If I’m being honest, this is such an uncomfortable time, and the stress of not knowing exactly what’s next can certainly be a lot if not managed correctly. This year, Madison was supposed to start PK3, however due to the circumstances, we’ve shifted to virtual learning. We are taking things one day at a time and trying to adjust as best we can to the unprecedented changes. Resilience is so important now more than ever, and especially for those students who have been used to one way of schooling and are now having to adjust to something totally different.⠀  ⠀ I’ve talked with a few moms about their feelings on this BTS season and the most common feelings were – stressed and anxious, and rightfully so. Many of us have the questions – Will my child be behind if we choose the virtual route? Am I being selfish if I send my child to school physicially? Will this ever end?⠀  ⠀ Whether starting the school year off virtually, or in physically in the classroom, none of us fully know what to expect or how this will affect our children. What we do know is that we can prepare and show resilience through this time, because we will make it through! ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ The YouTube Kids team curated videos centered around  wellness and how parents and kids alike can cope with stress and anxiety to help families through the uncertainties of BTS, no matter which decision they make. We’ve been watching Flocabulary Managing Worry and Stress video on YouTube Kids to help Madison understand that learning will be different this year and we’ve seen it help in an incredible way. I’ll be sharing the link in stories in case the video helps your little one too! You can also check out the “Learning” category for more back to school videos on coping with stress plus some fun learning subjects as well. Maddy’s been really working on sight words! ⠀ ⠀ How are you navigating this uncertain back to school transition with your family?⠀ ⠀ #YouTubeKids 📸 x sarahwardweddings
