*Me in my platform boots minding my own business*
*Random guy at a gas station*: “I hope you don’t mind me asking how tall you are?”
Me: “I’m 5’10 but probably closer to 6ft in these shoes.”
Him: “Wow. I’ve been trying to stand away from you. You’re making me feel inadequate.”
And that right there kids explained to me why I got made fun of by every guy possible I’m HS, college and beyond. Thankfully this was an adult man who could communicate his feelings but when people don’t know how to that that and you make them feel small, they try to make you feel small too. I understand that now, but I didn’t back then. I used to hate being tall and usually would be so upset by that interaction but I feel so empowered right now. I wouldn’t trade these long legs for the world. His last words were “better hope you don’t grow anymore” and my last words were “better hope you do!”
