i knew starting out i would never compromise my health for beautiful curls defined by toxic products. just no. i’ve been detoxing and using clean products for the last 5 years. i wouldn’t start compromising now.
so i started out using Young Livings hand sanitizer as a gel. i mean, it was gel-ish enough. 🤷🏻♀️😅 but although it was clean, the alcohol dried my hair out and there was zero curl cast. but it worked kinda... swipe right to see.
then i discovered homemade flaxseed gel and it changed everything! swipe right again. i actually got a cast and for the first time i was able to #scrunchoutthecrunch but it didn’t have a long shelf life and it didn’t travel well. 😅🤷🏻♀️
a wellness friend the.curly.oil.girl mentioned a gel she had been using that had an amazing cast, shelf life, with ingredients you could eat, and better yet it was made in a small shop owners kitchen! so i tried it and it has changed my #curlygirl game!
