How did the tennis bracelet get its name?
At the 1987 U.S. Open, tennis star, Chris Evert, lost her diamond bracelet during a match. She stopped the game mid-match to look for her bracelet, all while spectators watched the search. When asked about it in an interview, she called it the “tennis bracelet,” and so, the name was born. From that day forward, what was once called the line diamond bracelet became the diamond tennis bracelet.
Ruby Stella diamond tennis bracelets come with extra security latches and safety clasps to make sure you won’t end up in a situation like Evert. 🎾
