Today we launched the Saje x SAMARA Pocket Farmacy, which is so surreal and so special. Over the next few weeks we’ll share more about the partnership and how much we’ve learnt and grown from it. But for now, here’s a little story.
4 years ago, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I was leaving Canada to go to Kenya to be with her during her chemotherapy treatments and I thought about what I could get her that would comfort her during her treatment. I walked into Saje and at the time, they had collaborated with @heatherday to create a limited edition essential oil diffuser that was so vibrant and so beautiful. I decided to get it for my mom because I knew it would enable her to relax a little bit, and feel comforted and energized too, during her treatment.
After I lost my mom, I started SAMARA as a way to embody the things she taught me. Over the past year and a half, we managed to grow a little, and fast forward to today, we are honoured to have collaborated with Saje, a brand I’ve always looked up to on their limited edition partnership for the year, and it happened in the most organic, beautiful way (which you’ll hear about soon too!) And, each purchase gives back through @thesoularbackpack!
The “shine” you see in the photo is a reminder from my mom to always keep shining, and we thought it was a fitting and mandatory detail to include in this story.
