Let it sink in...The moments that open eyes to new perspectives, the stunning visuals the earth offers daily, the color of the sea, the trees, the rocks, the reef, the soft stone, the fine sand, the mountain top, the mountain lion.
Earth’s beauty is everywhere. Feel it uplift our souls our bodies our mindset. Let that blue sky in. Say thanks to that cloud that brings the rain.
This earth is magnificent and more than deserving of our respect.
Our transfer towards earth-friendly practices will be met with resistance . Yet perseverance towards this goal will be part of the tale our grandchildren may tell their kids.
Let’s make daily choices to lower our footprint and be part of the change. Cut down on single-use drinks - save money, drink water.
Compost! Use Reusable when possible - bags, utensils, hand-me-downs! Always carry a big water bottle (dehydration is so hard on the body & sharing is caring!) cut down or eliminate meat consumption which is the leading cause of deforestation 🌎🌎 Here on Oahu, unfortunately the recycling system isn’t able to process most of the waste, leaving most of our non-biodegradable recyclables stacking up our landfills or getting burned into the atmosphere. So the less we consume, the better.
Food does not belong in the ‘trash’, in landfills where a head of lettuce can take up to 20+ years to break down. Food rots in landfills, releasing methane. Food decomposes and turns to soil in compost, and the soil is a natural carbon absorbent... so the effect of composting is exponential!! Let’s keep learning the ways of our future!!! Innovate, create, protect our Momma Earth!
