It’s #tiptimetuesday ! @shredsista responds to a question from @lapetitephoto.la : “I struggle to find the balance on my board before I pop up: too in the front and my nose dive, too in the back and the wave pass me. Any tips?” “I remember when I was younger I would draw a deck patch in my wax where to put my hands when popping up because I remember how frustrating that was. It’s really finding that center sweet spot. Like when your paddling, if you’re too far back or forward, you’re not going to move so much. Find that middle zone by moving your body (sometimes just slightly forward or back), and you’ll feel that sense of glide at the center zone. Is easier to find it on land initially, I think. Also, engage your upper legs into the board when you paddle, this will help you have more power and stability in your paddle.” - Makala Smith Photo by @_lucrecia_ - Send us your questions in the comments and we will respond on our next #seeatiptimetuesday
