#SeeaTiptimeTuesday ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Arm and Hand Study. Our arms and hands and the way we hold them are an element of style that becomes unique to each surfer. Here, notice how Mele makes minute changes with her arms throughout the ride, showing control and grace. While there are all types of styles, control and grace are always revered. Look to her hands, notice how relaxed they are, holding form like a ballet dancer, without even thinking about it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But for us learning and still perfecting our own hand and arm posture, it helps to mindfully pay attention to what we are doing with our arms. Theres some great similarities between Tai Chi and surfing as it pertains to arms, and utilizing their energy to harness speed, power, and flow. If you get the opportunity to trade with a friend and film each other surfing (once we’re allowed back to the sea!), pay attention to your hand posture and implement changes you want to make. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For you arms (on a longboard), start out by trying to keep them close to your sides, this helps keep your energy centered, but it also looks nice! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Footage by @jack_colemang
