#SeeaTipTimeTuesday Turns! A complex blend of technique, speed, board design, style, turns range from with surfer, shape, and wave. Here’s a few elements to make a successful turn: 1. Having speed going into the turn will help give you power through the turn. Think about harnessing you’re momentum, then redirecting it in a new direction, by pushing with your back foot into the board 2. Have your feet in the right place (this is always a work in progress!). The closer your feet are to the inside rail (especially your backfoot) will determine how much your able to get the board on its rail into a turn. Pay attention to your front foot, if your toes lift up and your weight is all on your heel, try to shift your front foot towards the rail your turning on. A planted front foot gives power, so placement is key! Play around with where your feet are and get used to inching them into different places that during your rides. Smaller boards have sweet spots and longboards do too! 3. Guide the turn with your front arm, this will help control where you go. 4. Look where you want to go! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Footage from the @ondenostre film “Lunar” featuring the lovely @leahloves
