Cross-steps. Practice your cross-steps on land! Cross-stepping is an essential maneuver that opens the whole playing field for long boarding, so it is helpful to develop good habits early on! Remember, smaller steps show more control, our goal to work towards. Instead of trying to take 2 big steps to the nose, work on feeling the rhythm (on land) of taking 4 steps from the middle of the board to get to the nose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you’re learning to cross-step, you can look at your board/feet to maintain balance and correct placement, working towards being able to walk while keeping your eyes on the wave ahead. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #SeeaTipTimeTuesday
