Foot positioning ~ watch closely how @lolamignot utilizes her soft footwork to move around her board. In the last clip you see her easily change the direction of her feet to go into a switch stance. Coming into a switch stance elegantly like Lola shows here, takes a focus on minimal adjustments of the feet. As she leans on her foot of the cross step, she unweights the backfoot, enabling her to quickly shift the direction of the foot back open, switching her stance to regular. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Much like a dancer, foot placement effects our hips opening and closing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

~ intermediate tip - if you find yourself too far out on the shoulder and losing the wave, try looking back towards the wave so you can see where you need to cutback to maintain speed on the wave. If you’re on a point break, you’re usually going fast down the line trying to stay up with the wave, so turning back isn’t as essential to stay on the wave. But if you’re at any other kind of wave that isn’t racing down the line, cutting back towards the power source of the wave will help maintain speed and glide for the length of ride!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
