Today we come together for the planet, for our neighbors, our sisters and brothers, and for our genuine humanity. There are some Americans out there today who might feel disenchanted or lost - but that is a call for us to reach out and heal together. America is great. And it is also broken.. because America is the land of mistakes, challenges, progress, and growth. And while we may not be a perfect country with a perfect government or history, there are people out there who still fight hard to make it one. In this land, we vote for freedom - to marry who we want, to eradicate racial injustice, to protect our climate, to protect our bodies, and to leave a legacy that our children will be proud of. Today, no matter who you voted for... America won. Democracy won. And we look forward to taking this next step, together.
