Lift Off! ~ we get an up close view of the technicality of Rosie’s noseriding.
For a proper noseride, the toes should be over the nose, (if the toes are even an inch away from the tip of the nose, there’s still room to improve foot placement). Look at your front foot as you place your foot down towards the nose. If your foot isn’t right on the nose, it usually means the cross-steps need a different distance :: you don’t want your last step to be big because it’s harder to control. It’s better to develop a habit of taking small, tighter steps, than bigger steps, as it helps with both control and grace.
If you get the front foot over the nose, then the potential for the Hang 10 comes into play. To hang 10, the center of gravity shifts to the front foot as you bring the backfoot up to meet it.
