Down the line!
Let’s talk surf lingo! What exactly does the “line” mean. For the ‘line’, there is an imaginary line of the path you take on a wave. The ‘line’ is your unique way to approach the wave. On the first wave in this video, Kelsie pumps down the line as the wave speeds in front of here. On the other waves in the video, the waves are moving as quickly so her ‘line’ has more cutbacks towards the whitewater.
Usually point breaks will be more ‘down the line’, where as a mushier beach break wave, the line weaves back and forth to the white water in order to stay with the wave.
