#seeatiptimetuesday Use those toes!! Believe it or not, noserides require a lot of foot control through our toes. As you see here with Rosie, once her front foot reaches the nose, she grasps the front of the board with her toes. This helps maintain balance by engaging the front leg muscles through engaging the toes, and also allows you to lean into the back foot in the hang 5. Also, gripping the nose with your toes helps insure you that your toes are indeed ‘on the nose’ As we work towards noseriding, sometimes we may feel like we are on the nose, but when we look down our toes may still be a couple inches from the tip. Ideally, our toes are nicely gripped along the front edge of the board!!! Surfer: @rosiejaffurs Video: @tahneinei Words: @leahloves
