Turn!
Turning a log has SO much to do with foot placement.
Notice how Makala uses her back cross step to engage this first turn.
Using a cross step straight into a turn, you can use the energy of your step to initiate and drive the turn.
The back foot is the power source for the turn, so it’s critical to have it in the right position on the board.
Because a longboard is wider, If you want to turn on your toe side, place your back foot closer to the toe side rail,
If you’re turning heelside, scoot your back heel closer to the heel side rail, this will help direct the board through your turn!!
