This pandemic has too many parallels with the climate crisis for us to remain silent about it. Flattening the curve of this pandemic has proven the concept that when lives are on the line, people everywhere will mobilize. Imagine if we all acted with this much urgency in response to the climate crisis.
Now we know that we are capable of making sacrifices for the common good. Let’s use the same approach for the wellbeing of our Mother Earth. We have all had to adapt to new way of living during this pandemic. We go out less, consume less, and spend more time with ourselves. Some of us have taken up gardening, tried out new recipes, or started crafting or up-cycling. This new way of living is no doubt healthier for the planet.
This present moment can be the end of an old era and the start of a new. An era in which the earth comes first in all of our daily choices and actions. Nothing should go back to normal, normal wasn't working. We can choose a new beginning.
With big hearts and big imaginations, we're here to create positive change in the surf and fashion community. Seea is constantly looking for new ways to be as sustainable and environmentally conscious as possible. As surfers and women, we deeply care about the health of our planet and her oceans. Now more than ever we are ready to get to work. The time is now.
