((GIVEAWAY CLOSED)) ๐Ÿ€ Strike Gold ๐Ÿ€ Free Surf Lesson Giveaway โฌโฌ Seaster from the early days of Seea @amy_lowry_reda weighs in on the luckiest day of the year: โ€œThere is so much history and folklore about Irish Dancing that you could write a novel. What I love about its history is that its roots come from Celts/druids who danced in a circular fashion around sacred trees (long before St. Patrick came to town). Itโ€™s said that Irish Dancing evolved into keeping a completely silent upper body (arms held tightly by ones sides) when England occupied Ireland and tried to suppress Irish culture and ban dancing. The Irish kept dancing but only moved their feet, so that the English couldnโ€™t tell that they were dancing when passing by a bar or windowsill. And so Irish Dancing still lives on and is passed down to generations, as Iโ€™m currently passing it down to our 2.5 year old son (Irish by decent, on both sides). โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € I feel itโ€™s important to keep Irish culture alive because itโ€™s a culture full of warmth, generosity, perseverance, and a great sense of humor and way of looking at life. Whenever Iโ€™ve visited Ireland, there always seems to be a local on every corner, waiting for a lost person (like me!) to help them find their way. Some of my favorite memories of Ireland are from sitting on my board and looking back at the landโ€ฆ. the greenest land you will ever see! Itโ€™s land that is cherished, celebrated and cared for.
