#SeeaTipTimeTuesday Set it up! ~ Depending on the wave and how fast it breaks, Sometimes we have to wait for the wave to steepen up. For most maneuvers, we want to be in the steep part of the wave, as opposed to a flatter part of the wave. For this noseride, Erin @wormtown fades left on her takeoff, waits for the wave to stand up, then bottom turns (notice her back foot placement for the turn*** muy importante!). Now, she is she up perfectly for the noseride in the pocket. If she hadn’t done the fade to bottom turn, she likely would have been too far on the shoulder of the wave to achieve a noseride. Technical maneuvers are all about timing with the wave and putting your board in the critical parts of the wave! Pay attention to the timing of your bottom turn, watch the wave, anticipate what it’s going to do and where! After much practice, the wave language becomes a part of you!
