“The morning marine layer blankets the coast. We meet at Sabina’s house for fresh-brewed coffee while we wait for the blue skies to peel back. As the haze slowly burns off, we skate down for a surf check: conditions look good. We pack our boards and head down to the beach and trade waves for hours - lost in the feeling. Once we’re ready for a late lunch, we slip on our rollerskates and shake off the salt from our hair. Naomi picks up a guitar. We play tunes and harmonize deep into the evening light.”
