【香檳季節】假如我是Pinot Meunier
卟卟卟，聖誕臨近，香檳開過不停🍾🍾🍾。如果我是🍇Pinot Meunier，在金黃的氣泡中，不知道會有怎樣的心情？
作為Pinot家族成員，擁有Pinot Noir一樣的DNA🧬，常用於香檳，在香檳區產量亦超過1/3，但光環👑好像永遠只落在Pinot Noir和Chardonnay上。
難道葡萄都有所謂的好醜命生成嗎？
論先天條件，Meunier絕對不差。「我像Pinot Noir一樣有紅果味🍒，果香繽紛。」或者像批評所說，它層次較簡單。但它酸度活潑，令香檳更果感、輕盈、和諧。
在農夫👨🏻🌾眼中，Meunier亦是可以倚賴的夥伴。「我早熟、多產、抗霜凍。」
Pinot Noir和Chardonnay受不住的環境，它亦從容自在。奈何因而常被安置於惡鯁的地段，例如向北、濕冷的山坡上。
如果按比例計算，Meunier大多是Supporting Team。但作為配角，就連香檳界的勞斯萊斯Krug亦肯定其地位，在混釀中用上15-20%。酒莊曾在訪問中表示:
“The character of Pinot Meunier is the most variable of the three grape varieties. It is not so much Pinot Meunier per se that we seek but a little touch of spice or fruitiness that a certain grower in a certain village can produce…It is incidental that it happens to be Pinot Meunier.”
做一片出色的綠葉也光榮，但甘於一世做配角嗎？
不，懂得欣賞它的人愈來愈多，包括一眾出色的獨立農家香檳(RM)：Tarlant、Benoît Déhu及Egly-Ouriet等。Tarlant在有機的葡萄園(土壤混合粘土和白堊土)，用心栽培。以100% Meunier釀造出La Vigne d'Or (Golden Vine)🥂，陳年十多年，現在喝來仍充滿生氣，層次多變，誰說它一定不適合陳年呢？
佳節當前，如果我是Pinot Meunier，當開香檳的交響樂🎶響起時，我會說，「我相信做好自己，總會有人欣賞！」
